Fruits Of Love Poem by Stan Rodriguez

Fruits Of Love

Let's take the time to flow beyond ourselves
and share the pleasance of a day

Leaving out the harsh words or an evil eye—
no sense surrendering to an angry ugly feeling
that produces nothing in the end

We need to climb above ourselves
to view horizon high and deep
where dreams seem to arise

And send the callous man on his way
into the bitter cold of someplace else—
while we rest in peaceful summer days
within the mid-day of our lives.

I now welcome you into my own paradise
and we'll rejoice in the fruits that only love can give—
and make a better union of us both.
