In French, 'for the purpose of' is 'dans le but de'.
Therefore there's une bonne chance
that a guy called Don Lebooder
will be the butt of jokes in France.
One wonders what Don might do
if someone called him Don Sans But?
In reply, Don might choose:
'Pardon, Bonsieur. J'ai beaucoups des buts,
et j'ai beaucoup des shoes.'

25.9.21.'bonne' is 'good': 'sans' means 'without; 'beaucoup des' means 'plenty of''; 'un but' is 'a purpose', 'a goal' (the 't' is silent in the singular, but the plural 'buts' sounds like 'boot' and looks like 'boots')
