Future - Poem by Paige Bettis

As I lie in the dark
Wandering what lies ahead
I couldn't even dream
What could be seen

The future could be good
It could be bad
It could mean bringing a new life
just as easy to take one

We could be living as rich
or poor the on the street
It could mean paying millions to go places
and get absoloutely no where in life

What my future holds for me
Even I can't predict
As everyday goes by
All I can do is wait with a sigh
