G.O.D.M.O.T.H.E.R Poem by the Nickster

G.O.D.M.O.T.H.E.R

GOD has blessed me with a wonderful gift: a person who has been there for me when I needed a lift
OVERCOME by my loss-I was feeling quite blue, but your words of encouragement-to me they renewed
DOWN in the valley is where I might be if it weren't for the letters my Godmother sends me
MOREOVER, it's true and has been said before: you are the one I adore
OUT and about is where I am now...determined to make it in this part of town
TO be what God would have me to be 'cause without Him, I'm lost-I just can't see
HAPPIER now than I've ever been; surrounded by mountains and a few good friends
EAGERLY waiting for time to tell...if in my life, will I win or fail
RESTING of course, on the promise of God: in sickness or trouble-in Him I can hide.
