Galwan Valley Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Galwan Valley

As a soldier
I salute the mountains
That have stood sentinel
From times immemorial
To prevent man's greed
To spill over
And split blood.
But now,
With the advancement in technology
These daunting mountains
Have lost their footings
And so,
As a soldier,
I stand up tall and broad-chested
Against the adversary
Like an indomitable mountain.
