Gan Kakho Peace Flying Poem by Kimberly Burnham

Gan Kakho Peace Flying

Peace flys
between an eagle and wood pigeon
in a Bushman dictionary text
"ganee" eagle
to make peace "gan kakho"
"gani" a woodpigeon the edible kind

And another word "sekishhe"
also means to make peace
found between
"sekee" river sand
and a bow "sekka"
as if flying and flowing
and hunting for our needs
can bring us peace
