Garage Sale Doll Poem by Marilyn Lott

Garage Sale Doll

‘Moving Sale’ it said
‘Everything must go’
And there stood this little doll
That I needed so

I had no place to put her
My house was full, you see
I saw her amongst all this ‘stuff’
And I think that she saw me

There was $2 on her yellow tag
Now how could I walk on by?
In her pretty pink dress and bow
She really caught my eye

So I bought her, folks, yes I did
And she seems to now belong
But when my granddaughter sees her
How quickly she’ll be gone!
