In marriage, we are garments, it's said
To cover faults and guard our modesty
To keep us warm and make us feel complete
And always be attached, you and me
Just like a garment, we may not fit
Ideally, from the start, we must admit
But with some work and adjusting too
We can find comfort in each other, you and me
A spouse is meant to be an adornment too
A beautiful addition to life, it's true
To enhance our days and bring us joy
A blessing from Allah, we should not destroy
So let us strive to be the best we can
To be a garment for our beloved's plan
To cover faults and keep them warm
And never let them feel forlorn
May Allah bless our marriage with love
And help us be like a garment from above
Comfort and protection for our mate
Until Jannah, we reach our ultimate fate.
