Gas Stop Poem by Ima Ryma

Gas Stop

A space ship in its travelogue
Landed at Hill Billy Bob's place.
Billy Bob pumped gas with bud, Dawg,
Said 'Howdy' for the human race.
But Billy Bob and Dawg did not
Carry the required kind of fuel
The E.T.s in the space ship sought.
Not a species to ridicule,
The E.T.s thanked Billy Bob for
He and Dawg's hospitality,
Bought snacks from the General Store,
And said off they needed to be.

A cow was sucked up off the plain,
Cuz the space ship ran on methane.
