Gentle Gentle On - Peter S. Quinn
Gentle gentle on
The night is now, here,
Daydreams passages gone
The dim is everywhere.
And footsteps in the snow
From someone walking,
Will come and go
And people talking…
Yesterday is no more
It just flows with time,
onto memories shore
from its earthly grime.
And the breath of air
from the cold outside,
is in memories here
for dreams to abide.
Gentle gentle on
Where is the future going?
Where has it all gone
days we were knowing.
The time runs on still
in its flow and impeding,
some ways to fulfill
and new days on reading.
