Getting Older Poem by Marvin Brato Sr

Getting Older

M y time is running out as time passes,
a s though I am a candle burning to ashes.
R eckon that life is but a flash of existence,
v iew like a scenematic action in sequence.
I submit to fate what may come tomorrow,
n ow I must act to live happy than sorrow.

M y family is quite emphatic of me,
on some things that I like to do or see.
R arely I tell my thoughts and emotion,
a s I am an introvert yet with devotion.
G od knows I care for everyone I love,
a nd sacrifice all for my all beloved.

Being sensitive to my environment,
r eactive to stimuli that stir an intent.
A cross my mind there exist a portal,
t riggers reality that I am a mortal.
O f this fact I accept getting older.
