Getting Young Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Getting Young

I saw you lying sprawled in the sun
Face covered with a piece of cloth
You have grown matured over the years
To show off your nudity like young girls.

I saw you making dents on sand bed
With your toes like that of an animal
You have got hot blood and ego has risen
To your head, your eyes burnt with passion.

I saw you getting undressed like a plant
As touch of warm summer played hide
And seek in your limbs. You felt full like
A pot listening sound of steps following you.

I saw you swaying like a thin frond in
The cool breeze in rage, a drunken youth,
Giving shape to a dream of happy life as the
Mast of time came down close over your eyes.
