Ghost Holidays Torment Not Taken Poem by Terence George Craddock

Ghost Holidays Torment Not Taken

his love appreciation of nature
his eye for detail is diminished
there was a deep lifestyle lived
in connection with wilderness
this past great enduring love
is now time diminished nature
which still cannot overcome
the loneliness the lost dreams

planned for retirement shattered
beauty in nature cannot make up
for the lost siblings parents a wife
who have passed on leaving no
close loved ones to share perceived
beauty with to travel with outliving

everyone else imposes the cost
of torn heart lost relationships
lost retirement travel dreams
saved and paid for the weight
of possibilities in roads not taken
smaller joy holidays not past taken
