Ghost Mother Was Listening The Tv Serial! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Ghost Mother Was Listening The Tv Serial!

TV serial in Raj TV,
Sindhu Bairavi! seen by
My elderly mother regularly!

Daily, Daily, Daily Everyday,
But for Saturday and Sunday,
A great relief to me!

The serial has successfully crossed
eight hundred and forty six episodes;
It is going on like Hanuman’s tail!

I happened to hear the dialogues,
Since I am preparing some articles
In my computer adjacent to television!

I know the names of a few characters,
Sindhu, Bairavi, Vir, Beem, Muktha,
Mahathi, Kanna, Gunavanthi and Thamarai!

No two characters will accept what others say,
One says yes, other will say no!
If the other says yes, the first one says no!

Controversy! Controversy!
The characters arguing with each other,
I thought whether the serial will end one day..!

Who knows? Nobody knows!
I was worrying what will happen
If my ill mother passes away!

But fortunately she said one day,
“Son, If I die and pass way,
You do me a favor”.

I asked what I should do,
She said that she will come as a ghost
And sit in her usual chair everyday!

We were shocked to hear her words!
Another three months, she went sick
And passed away peacefully!

The ceremonies were over silently,
Everybody returned to their hometown happily,
We forgot everything easily!

But to our surprise,
When we sat for continuing sindhu bairavi serial,
We felt gentle breeze and heard sound of moving chair!

We were shocked to hear that sound,
We felt the fragrance of our mother,
Hissing noise heard in my ears ‘I have come”

We are little frightened,
But why while our mother had visited,
She was quietly listening!

When the episode is over,
We hear the chair moving sound,
The mother’s fragrance fades away!

The serial extended for another one year,
On her birthday of may,29, the serial
Ended with marriage of Mahathi, daughter of Sindhu!

My mother was coming on all days,
We offered her snacks, Of course,
we ate it after the serial was over!

The serial ended,
Mother didn't come afterwards,
All well; that ends well!
