Ghost Of A Parting Memory Poem by james watkin

Ghost Of A Parting Memory

Orpheus, re-born.
Again to mourn
The beloved, with poet's fine
Lyre; tear-rusty.

Half deranged, trailing
A ghost wailing
Out each depth of night, hellish
For a city;

Day-bright, years ago
Did fresh youth show!
Still warm, in hands, wrenched from each
Love; torched newly.
