Ghost's Refuge Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Ghost's Refuge

Rating: 5.0

Oh, no peace anywhere
I wondered with surprise and did not dare
To ask anyone about my crusade
I was alive but simply a dead

Yes it is my existence
Mechanical yet on earth by chance
I have everything at my disposal
But fear for being so vocal

I miss something essential
All comforts look so artificial
I need no wealth but simple peace
To live with nature and feel at ease

Please take me to some place
Where I find no wild chase
After desire and uncertain future
I want to make it simple and pure

I love man kind
As all odds they face and yet do not mind
Come out with some solution
Life makes no revolution

I sense its futility
Even though it depends on availability
Of means and its proper use
Else it may be as simple as ghost’s refuge
