Ginger Ban

Cries for a ban
on the agriculture of ginger
resound India
throughout.
The ginger root
is a great impinger
and sucker from the soil
of its clout.
Replenishment takes years.
If you don't mince,
boil or macerate the root -
I boiled mine but missed a bit -
the smallest missed bit will sprout.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
after researching my poem 'The Ginger In India'.
I have a wild ginger plant I grew for the flower, and got rid of, or so I thought, when I saw the size of the root.
