Girl In A Man's Shoes. Poem by Diya Bhudia

Girl In A Man's Shoes.

Rating: 5.0

I defy these stereotypes,
Makeup with a run of colors,
Dresses with beautiful presses,
Heeled shoes? Don't care ‘bout the bruise,
It's all a pain to achieve,
The living standard of being a girl,
I defy them by being myself,
Wearing khaki pants and plain shirts,
Wearing shoes with no heels,
Wearing boots that are not deemed ‘girly'
For I'm a girl in a man's shoes.

Well expressed thoughts and feelings. Brave utterances set aside for sober reflection. Thanks for sharing, Bhudia.
