Girls Poem by Nawal Salah

Girls

A baby is born
Sadness on faces.
People whispers,
It’s a baby of no use.
Love she wishes,
But gets more dishes.
People believe,
Girls don’t succeed.
No freedom,
No life.
Inside deadlines,
She lives.
With a wish and a dream,
A girl is a flowing stream.
Discrimination surrounds her,
Pushing her down.
One step ahead,
She moves a day.
Showing people,
What a girl can do.
Give us confidence,
Well fight.
Make us comfortable,
Well shine.
Grant us freedom,
Well live.
A life of a girl,
Isn’t easy at all.
