Give Me A Good Old Comedy Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Give Me A Good Old Comedy

What happened to good old fashioned comedy?
Our evening entertainment is no more,
Yes, we have the old comedy shows,
But I've watched them so many times before!
Now we are faced with reality shows,
As interesting as watching paint dry,
I flick through the channels on my worn out remote,
And give out a great big sigh.
We need good entertainment,
Whatever happened to that?
Reality shows get right up my nose!
Fine comedy's now been swept under the mat.
