Oh Lord! Give Me

Oh Lord! the one who gives
the world His orders
Give me hunger, pain, and want!
Shut me out with failure and shame
from your door of gold and fame!

But leave me with a voice to speak
a hand to touch
a heart to feel

Leave me with a road to travel
to unravel the mystery of
your world

Leave with me with a hunger
for love, learning
and much more

Leave me with a tear in my eyes
for the ones I love
and the ones who love me

Leave me with a smile on my lips
to laugh at the idiosyncrasies
of your world

Of all, Leave me with a window
to look through the light that
guides me to the right direction.
