Traveller's Sorrow! Poem by Namratha Swamy

Traveller's Sorrow!

Rating: 5.0

Nostalgia fills up my senses
as I once again after years cross the bridge!

The nearby mountains seem to have been in the waiting
The then gushing river seems to have lost her momentum
The perennial bright and gay flowers seem listless
And the once pregnant fields now look sleek and barren!

As my expectant eyes search for your inkling among the lifeless surroundings,
the sunlight on the sands tell me I'm late!

Unable to bear the traveller's sorrow,
I look for another place to rest!

It's like losing or missing something substantial out of a nostalgic scene. Amazingly portrayed. Thanks a lot.
