I love the oceans more than the shores
I love the mountains more than the roads
I love the temples where prayers are heard
I love the bridges where faith is served
I love the forest deeper with secrets
I love the rivers swelling with unrest!
I want to travel the world to see
what lies across away from me;
deepest ravines of fear and dark
tallest mountains of grit and strength
widest oceans of love and sacrifice
longest bridges of faith and hope
I want to travel the world to see!
Wherever I travel my heart shall go
under the skies deeper than mine
Wherever I wander my thoughts shall go
beyond the shores of swelling brine
Wherever I wait my memories shall be made
under the sun, in the snow, or in the thumping rain
And where I sleep the grass shall grow
above the ashes of my contented pyre.
I want to travel the world to see.
I want to travel the world to see!
