Giving Thanks Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Giving Thanks

You bring out the best in me
Scaling a mountain
Or walking by the sea
You are my redeeming fountain

You make me strong
When I thought I was weak
You help correct the wrong…
I recover when life looks bleak

I find promise in the dark
You lit my extinguished candle
With a loving and gentle spark
Making impossible easier to handle

Lord, I thank you for my life
Enriched by your guidance
Through pleasure and strife
My faith gives me sustenance
