Glamorous And Chic Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Glamorous And Chic

To 'gild the lily' may sound quite silly
but models, they do, so how about you?

A slave to fashion, let this be your passion.
in colourful hue, especially pale blue.

Black satin and lace with fairness of face
up-dated hairdo, and oh, he'll adore you.

Shorten your skirt, become kind of 'pert',
use glitter and sheen...be a beauty queen.

Spray some perfume, especially in June
and sing love's refrain, even in the rain.

Two strangers together in inclement weather
loving with passion, in modern-day fashion.

Now walk up the aisle ~ in Joan Collins' style.
Let this be your mission, a lifetime decision.
