Global Warming Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Global Warming

Once upon a time
Planet Earth was enchanting
Great forests, lungs making oxygen
Seas and oceans teeming with life
Wildlife in abundance, not endangered.

Man emerged walking the earth
Lording over all living things
Cutting down forests, building cities
Destroying other species
Pouring sewerage and plastics into the sea.

Nature fought back, melting snow caps
Raging storms and flooding
Children crying against global warming
Still without Governments actions
Countries pumping carbon into the atmosphere.
