Global Warming Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Global Warming

Once upon a time
Our planet was enchanting to behold
Great forests the lungs
Seas and oceans full of life
Wildlife in abundance not endangered.

Man emerged to walk the earth
Majestic over all living things
Cutting down forests, building cities
Destroying other species
Pouring sewerage and plastics into the sea.

Nature fought back melting snow caps
Raging storms, flooding
Children cried out against global warming
But still without pause world's Governments
Pump carbon into the atmosphere.
