Glory And Tragedy Poem by Khaled Selem

Glory And Tragedy

Rating: 5.0

Glory for the Daybreak, that killed the night.
For The Silence, that warned to the storms.
For the Sun, that illuminated the way for the dream.
For the Doves, that taught us craving.
For the Trees, that taught us pride,
And taught us not to leave the Home.

Glory for Papers, that preserved the mystery of history.
For Pen, that taught mankind.
For the Book, The Greatest Miracle.
For the Ink, that has overcome the blood.
For a Poem, The spark of revolution,
And tyrants's nightmare.

Glory for the Hope, that created patience.
For the Boredom, that choked the waiting.
For the Dream, sleeping of good people.
For the Sadness, the dictionary of life.
For the Honesty, the gunshots,
And tulip flower!

Glory for the Crutch, the guide of the blind.
For the Axe, farmers's scepter.
For the Mirror, the lie of the female.
For the Vase, the first witness to the death of roses.
For the Walls, voice of truth,
And Memory of peoples.

Glory for the Green, the color of beauty.
For Clouds, omen and harbinger.
For Love, the first martyrs.
For Stones, the first revolutionaries.
For Poetry, The beginning of the tragedy,
And The tragedy of the decision.

Fine and lofty verse elegantly brought forth with clarity of thought and mind. A beautiful creation nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Khaled.
