Glow Of The Soul Poem by Blessings Mutukwa

Glow Of The Soul

A thousand candle flames
Dance incandescent
In the night's serenity.
Ethereal is how to describe
That which is inscribed
Within-
Zesty distaste
Distends itself
As a wind from the distance
Impelling oneself
To ignore the prescribed.
The kiss of its gust,
Ghastly as its name
Carries off the flames
Like prey under the eagle's claw
Yet one remains-
Incandescent
But indistinguishable
That the darkness and it
Are one.
