Go And Catch A Falling Star Poem by Geoffrey plowden

Go And Catch A Falling Star

I, manibus lapsum de caelo siste cometen,
mandragorae prolem semine gigne tuo,
pande mihi, annorum, qui praeteriere, latebras,
unde sit et satyris ungula fissa, doce,
da mihi, letiferum sirenum audire canorem,
da mihi, livoris spicula nulla pati,
praemia disce etiam (mirum, si discere possis)
quo mereat casu certa in amore fides.
