Go Away Fish Poem by Juan Olivarez

Go Away Fish

Line in the water, worm on the hook,
Water gently flowing by.
Can't find my float too lazy to look,
Life is good under grey spring skies.

Don't want to move, making no sound,
Go away fish just let me snooze.
Just give me ten minutes here on the ground,
Even if I caught you, I'd turn you loose.

Go away fish count your lucky stars,
I'll just lie here and doze.
Go away blue gills and Alligator Gars,
Today I'll just repose.

How restful indeed! Fishing in the early mornings make one really sleepy: -) This poem is fun tot read but the last lines add some information on kinds of fish (I am not familiar with) . Thank you for writing this!
