Go Rain, Go Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Go Rain, Go

Rating: 5.0

Go rain, please go
You are a blessing turned curse
Though none is your cause

Go rain, Please go
The potholes all covered up
Set trap for passersby

Go rain, rain please go
You have taken the residents houses
Their mattresses floating on water
Their legs and waist submerged in water
Where will they spend the night unprepared
Maybe on the conscience of politicians
Who did no work but loot.

A very heartfelt supplication to rain to go away. It has caused havoc all around. The situation is same in this part of the world too. The main culprits are the politicians who live in their cosy big houses and are safe. They loot the money that can be used for the benefit of the poor. Nice poem. Thanks for sharing.
