Today is not for memory
today is for reality
and though you are not here,
all are here remembering you
sharing your existence
by words, by recollections,
by prayers
and those that are not here
will also silently pray
asking you to hold that lamp
which glows with the oil of love
above the galaxy of their thoughts
and as they gather those moments
spent together with you
many will gather silent tears
which will make them find you
in the pupil of their eyes
as they read the verses you wrote.
