Goalpost In Utopia Poem by John Sensele

Goalpost In Utopia

Love unfurled like a flag
Flying high in a romantic blizzard
Catalyzed by an avalanche in Swiss Alps
Gathers momentum as she unleashes her hexing charm
Sites my heart, scatters my brain
Like sand grains blown away by a sirocco
Wind in the sand dunes of the soft Centre of my heart
Which longs for succour
For a French kiss
For a memorable embrace
For soft nothings
For a flattering tweet
For a post on my Facebook wall
For a mushy SMS
But the goalpost to the Apple of my eye has flown away to Utopia.
