'There is a turkey, 'said a girl.
'Oh, what a turkey, ' said a boy.
'I would like that turkey, ' said Pa.
'I could cook that turkey, ' said Ma.
'Oh, no! , 'exclaimed turkey, ' Please
don't eat me! '
'Why not, 'asked the family.
'Well, we could have plum pie and could be friends instead., 'said turkey.
Ma said aloud, 'We could all be friends I like that idea.'
'Friendship is a wonderous thing! , 'said Pa.
The boy and girl said, 'I want to be friends.'
'Oh, gobble let us be thankful, 'said turkey.
