God Hears You Poem by Isadora Quagmire

God Hears You

He can see your tears,
He can hear your anguished moans,
He knows your deepest fears,
He can feel your shaking bones.

He sees how your hands tremble,
As they fold together,
He understands your words that fumble,
As you wistfully wonder,

Does He hear me?
Could he ever care
About a sinner so guilty?
Should I even dare?

He is there beside you as you cry,
He like Aslan is crying too,
For didn't he die,
For sinners just like you?

He knows how alone you feel here,
He was abandoned in a garden—
Left to shed blood filled tears,
Afflicted to pay your pardon.

He hears your sobbing,
He knows your faith is small,
He is ever caring,
He hears your anguished calls.

He will deliver you,
Rest in his unfailing grace,
He is carrying you,
Though your tears hide his face.
