God Isn't In The Heavens Poem by Mohammad Younus

God Isn't In The Heavens

God isn't in the heavens;
He is the light wrapped—
around day and night.
In trembling hands,
He offers blessings—
in the grace of a man
giving shelter
to a homeless child.

God is no cosmic puppeteer.
Though King of skies and earth,
He is love—raw, pure, unfiltered—
granting freedom to be.

God doesn't sit on a jeweled throne;
His chair spans the heavens and the earth.
He is the Beneficent, the free giver,
feeding the poorest of His creation.
His compassion, soft and cool,
blooms as flowers of mercy,
burning as eternal light,
fueling the intricate gears of existence.

The Kingdom of God?
It's a conspiracy of love—
a fierce revolt
against the machinations
that grind humanity into dust.
Its gates open to wisdom;
its path, paved with knowledge.

The Way to the divine kingdom
is a quiet stroll—
a march away from illusion's empire,
from the easy lies of priests' sermons,
where religion is sold as spectacle,
and the truth within is ignored.

In God's kingdom,
there are no hollow symbols of glory,
no schemes to deceive the heart.
And Resurrection?
It's no magic trick,
nor divine applause.
It is the voice within every soul,
proclaiming: I am the truth.

This—
all of it—
isn't about waiting for heaven.
It's about creating heaven here, now.
Wake up! Embrace the truth.
Walk the Way.
