He made so many of us
When we talk to ourselves
on a busy street and not
talking into a cellphone
he smiles
When we start arguments out of nothing
and imagine persecution
till a person bleeds, literally bleeds
we make him cry
When we miss the rent because
we had the only money spent
like a Krazy Kat clock with ping pong eyes
it is fulfilling
as if this
was what
the universe
was for
When we weep ourselves to sleep
because we can't seem to change
and we drive everyone we love
out into the night cursing
it matters,
it matters
a great deal
to him
He loves us because
we remind him of him, in-
comprehensible
to the heart
God must love the crazy people
or why would he make them
the way that they are
impossible to put with
and unhealable
as disease
It is a very nice piece and you did a good job. It has a light feel to it. It has a nice meter and I think the underlaying message is very cute. (But after reading a few of your other pieces, I think you are truely capable of much more than cute.) Nice work.

An interesting and enjoyable piece; eccentricity seems to be an essential component of the human psyche; perhaps God one day will reveal all of His intentions in creating us; nicely done! -Joe Breunig author/poet, Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory
