Unto what shall this, our life be likened
For sometimes we're brave, but oft disheartened
So we ask and pray for guidance divine
That to false opinions may not incline.


When upon our path are briars and thorns
And there are fingers that mock and scorn
Just let them brother for you know your mission
Your life has a goal of healthy ambition


Those dark alleyways that may make you turn
Take faith! On the path be quickly resumed
Let a fire within your anxious heart burn
'Til all your worries and your fears consumed.


With a focused mind and directed course
Hold tight to your dreams, hold fast 'til it's yours
Those goals that're lofty you fastened with pin
And wrestle with failures until you win!


When life, they say, gets too hard to stand
Upon your head are burdens that demand
It is not easy, I know how it feel
But fellow that means that you have to kneel.


To pray unto God with an honest heart
Is the best solace that will not depart;
For God is a Friend, indeed our Father
Who lift our yoke that it may not bother.


You have to endure, you have to enjoy
Regardless of foes- their cunning employ,
For difficult roads with its reclusions
Leads oft to beautiful destinations.


So now let us take a well-anchored faith
With a firm resolve of a determined soul,
Founded upon a rock of sure foundation
'Til we reach with tears our beloved goal!


Then we shall prosper in the name of Christ,
And from off the ground, we will all shall rise.
Let us in His counsels deeply abide
For He is our Lord, and He is our guide.
