I stand here watching the sea
in and out the waves flow with my breath.
Like it has a life of its own
I hear her voice, old as time.
I listen to the calling gulls
Hoping for a peeping fish
The tide rolls out,
Splashing across rocks and leaving shells
Tiny shells glisten at the sun's touch
like a treasure of diamonds touching the eye.
The clouds in the distance meet the water
like there is no start or beginning.
The waves wash in and out over my feet.
As I press a path in the sand
A breeze prisms the water
a salty mist touching my lips
The sea sings like a soft lullaby
I close my eyes savoring the symphony
I open my eyes to a glimpse of orange
as the sun starts it's descend
Kissing the water with jewels
Fit for a queen gift
I cherish the magical essence
Given to me by my God..
