God's Ice Storm Poem by Marilyn Lott

God's Ice Storm

Rating: 5.0

As ice grips my entire world
The gentleness I feel
Is unbelievable to me
For peace and joy it does reveal

The beauty of ice sculpture
Absorbs my entire life
Aside were all my problems
As chill cut the air like a knife

For I felt such peace surround me
So cold I could scarcely breathe
I felt God was sending a message
And I instantly believed

That the world was full of love
Of gentleness and peace
Thank you Lord I whispered softly
My worries quickly began to cease

I drove this wintry morning
To the church where I always pray
I knew that God was with me
I knew what He had to say

He wants us to find that inner peace
For kindness does prevail
If we truly keep our faith
A peaceful world can never fail!
