God Won't Ask Poem by Randy McClave

God Won't Ask

If you're a racist or a bigot God won't ask
Unto that inquiry God won't be tasked,
And he won't ask if you broke promises or are a thief
Or if you added or took something away from your underneath.
When you come unto the pearly gate
Remember this, God won't ask you if you judged or hate,
He won't ask you if you went to church or are saved
And he won't ask if or when you did or didn't behaved.
When you are at God's Holy door
He won't ask you if you helped the needy and the poor,
And when you are standing in front of his throne
He won't ask you unto who else you are known.
God won't ask you who you ridiculed and mocked
Or who you spread rumors about or who you blocked,
Or who you had spread awful gossip about
And he won't ask you if you are caring and devout.
He won't ask you about your neighbor's down the road
Or who came over here in a boatload,
And he won't ask you how you treated all others
Or if you treated everyone as your sisters and brothers.
He won't ask you in what country were you born
Or about the clothes that you had worn,
And he won't ask you about your money that you spent
Or if you lived in a mansion or in a tent.
When God almighty you do finally meet
He won't even ask you if you're a liar or a cheat,
Remember this, God is omniscient from the go
So, God will already know.
