Goddess Durga Poem by Ima Ryma

Goddess Durga

Rating: 5.0

The Goddess Durga, Mother of
All good of Hindu universe,
Worshipped by the faithful with love,
Praying she conquers evil's curse,
Ever vigilant her three eyes,
One eye the moon for good desire,
One eye the sun for strength to rise,
One eye for knowledge fueled with fire.
In each of many limbs she wields
Wise weapons to use in her fight
Against evil, her swords and shields
To turn the darkness into light.

For Durga, many holidays
Do celebrate her divine ways.
