Goddess Of Endurance Poem by Binu Mathew

Goddess Of Endurance

Rating: 5.0

Angel in action, to redeem pain,
Of the afflicted, distressed, and weak,
Lend her lean arms with bulging vein,
Melt like candle, humble and meek!

Incarnation of feminine virtues; devoted,
Mother of orphans, loving sister of ailing,
And dear daughter of elderly! Dedicated,
Self-sacrifice, keep all sorrows veiling!

Goddess of endurance, the Lord's bride!
Complains to none when abused in bondage!
Live in hope; death will end the hurt pride,
Keep mum, not to give fortune, a hostage!

Blessed are those nursed by nuns!
Damned are those destined to be nuns!
