Gold Poem by G J Salgado

Gold

Sometimes I glitter in the night
Making spells into the darkest light

Spending time with the moon
Not waking until noon

Losing myself in the deepest seas
Sinking further into your disease

I dreamt of a place within the deep
I fell behind and began to sleep

There I waited for you
Will you wait for me too

There where lion's roam
Stay with me until I'm home

We ran with the wolves and became magical
You and I becoming something real

We bled so that we'd never be old
Until our blood turned into gold
