Golden Girly Poem by Terio Ruiz

Golden Girly

Rating: 5.0

The demon on you drips down to your toes

It causes your eyes to absorb all color
Your strength from it comes from
Warm water swishing in your belly and heart
That comes from seeing your dashing dream girl
At first, I wouldn’t have been able
To squeeze your fists rocketing toward me
But I can now that I have a gorgeous golden girly
That Jesus can use as an instrument
To make me do his bidding
Now it’s dream girl, the demon and you
Versus golden girly, Jesus and me
You can pull out your sharp thing for clutch cases
And your silver piece
But I’ll take the Word to you from the bible
And use my Lord-fearing faith
To break what I once thought was boldness in you
The mirror tells me that we were once one

Because of our daring dash to drip the fruit
That would’ve come from getting dream girl
However, we’ve been separated for a long time now
The divider that splits us indefinitely
Has Satan on one side and Jesus on the other
Since dream girl had no life
You rot from spoiling yourself on her
I, on the other hand, have golden girly
My chase for her will sprout
Milk and honey for her and I
And it’ll make the Jesus in me
Sprinkle up and down my feet
So my eyes can cast out
The entire spectrum of love for all to see.

The mirror tells me that we were once one
Because of our daring dash to drip the fruit... Nice expression to illustrate the oneness. Imagery and metaphors are used intelligently to keep its poetic standard.Sweet in sound but stiff to hold the wisdom. Write more...more... Regards, pranab 10+
