Golden Years? Poem by Jeanne Trew

Golden Years?

Rating: 5.0

They call them the GOLDEN YEARS?
And in what way?
Am I wealthy? Did my hair turn blonde?
No, it's definitely GRAY!
Am I full of energy, morn til night,
No, half time I'm dragging and the other half,
not too bright!
Golden years? Wha'd you say?
Please forgive me,
my hearing aid's not working right today!
