Gone Poem by Under A Microscope

Gone

They looked at her/him and shouted you're pathetic do yourself a
favor and end it already.
She/He looked at them with pain, with hurt, with a stare that cried for help
but no words came out.
They walked away laughing and proud as if they had done
something worthy of applause.
She/He stood there, thought a moment and agreed with them.
As she/he wrote her/his last goodbye's the tears flooded her/his face
and the idea that tomorrow would not exist made it all the better.
No more hurt, no more pain, no more words that had wounded her/him,
scarred her/him and made her/him feel as if she/he were nothing at all.
She/He took her/his last breath and she/he was gone.
Gone never knowing what she/he was really worth,
Gone never knowing that she/he was truly loved,
Gone.
They heard the news and stood there in shock.
Guilt, remorse, regret, and sorrow began to creep into
their bodies, their mind, and their hearts.
Wishing that the words they had said on that unforgetful day
were one's of love and not of hate,
of compassion and not of disgust,
of acceptance and not of rejection,
of life and not of death.

Dedicated to those who have left us with the lesson that words are more than just noise coming from our mouths but are lethal in a sense.
Choose to lift someone up today instead of breaking them down,
because you never know what impact your words can have on
someone.
Choose to be someone who saves a life instead of ends one.
