Gone Poem by Elton Dean

Gone

The stone walls will echo the cold,
And I will freeze where I stand.
No love lies here,
And the stained glass has destroyed my vision.

The light no longer blinds me,
And the air offers me no comfort.
The hollow bells will ring,
And sound the beginning of the hunt.

The gargoles stare empty into the night,
But no longer bring fear to my soul.
The grave yard has lost the names to the rain,
And time will forget me and my existence.
