Gone Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Gone

Gone

Religions and the faiths
Are ignored, forgotten
And decrease the shrines
As are mosques and churches!

They advised marriage
In Allah's or God's name
And called the disobedient
"Maker of the bastards! "

So, bastard was a curse;
A bastard lowered head
Or hid to avoid shame.

Faiths' leaders hardly cared
For love and attraction…

They ordered: "It is said:
Follow God's footsteps;
Don't resist, just obey."

All have changed in one way;
Rarely are considered,
Therefore, life has refreshed.

Same happened to hunting
In American Continent;
"Buffalo" are gone, dead.

Football and basketball
And the games in this line
Are worldwide and alive;
Vanished are the old games
Like "Chogan" of Iran'
Which is changed to Polo.

They used horse and stick
In two teams, opposites
To lead the woven balls
To the end of the court;
Treasure in hooves' dust.
