Good Governance

~By Dr. H S Swadhin Kumar Pal

Good Governance begins where democracy stands,
With socialism and dignity guiding our lands;
Religionality respects every faith and creed,
Human consecration places humanity first in need,
And constitutional values become the people's lead.

Federation of unions strengthens unity's chain,
Unity in diversity makes every culture remain;
Liberty must challenge the powers that oppress,
Peace must rise above atrocities and distress,
While justice defeats injustice with fairness.

Laws must confront unlawful acts and protect the weak,
Giving every citizen the courage and freedom to speak;
Equal rights to education must reach every door,
Employment and residence must empower the poor,
And constitutional freedom must protect them evermore.

Good Governance must stand against corruption and fear,
Hear the people's voices and keep accountability clear;
No caste, creed, or religion should divide the nation,
Equal rights and opportunities must strengthen every generation,
With justice and liberty as the foundation of civilization.

Let Good Governance dominantly overcome the weak,
Let truth and justice give strength to those who seek;
Let democracy flourish with peace and equality,
Let constitutional power protect human dignity,
And let governance serve the people with integrity.
